WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

A powerful CDC statistic reveals that 2/3 of young people in the U.S. will experience a traumatic event by age 16. These difficult experiences can range from challenging family situations and significant losses to community stressors and increased exposure to violence. For the caring adults around them, having trauma-informed strategies is crucial. It empowers us to create safe, trusting environments, offering compassionate support to help children and teens navigate these moments and build resilience.

This course is designed to equip you with the knowledge and practical strategies to support kids on their unique paths toward healing. We'll explore a foundational understanding of childhood trauma, typical responses youth may exhibit, and the 7 key principles of trauma-informed support. You'll also gain practical, age-specific strategies for various developmental stages. Join us to strengthen your ability to foster connection, promote well-being, and empower the young people in your life.

Certificate for 2 hours of parent training available.
